May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we are celebrating by sharing the first episode of The TMI Project Story Hour Season 7, Vicarious Resilience: Storytelling for Mental Health.
Vicarious Resilience highlights the brave souls who stepped on stage and shared the truth about their experiences to raise awareness and break the stigma around mental illness topics like depression, schizophrenia, substance abuse, and generational trauma, and recovery.
Episode one features storyteller and TMI Project Executive Director Eva Tenuto.
After years of self medicating her depression with running, herbal supplements, and binge drinking, a tearful call to her mother helps Eva to confront her resistance to pharmaceuticals, and see the state of her mental health with a newfound clarity.
